yes they can get mobile phone signals, and limited mobile broadband, but essentialy it is as near as you get to off grid, many people there have never left the confines of the village or the val more…

Since I parted with someone I used to communicate constantly via my mobile last year, I don't seem to even notice I have a mobile phone. Sometimes it goes with a flat battery for days and I don't know! more…
I would be lost without mine permanently clamped to my ear - it is my lifeline to speak to friends i no longer see, but i know what you mean - hubby switches his on to use it then off again so it isn't intrusive -course you can never get hold of him x more…

I symphasise with the teacher. That act must've been the only half-good memory she had of that year. We teachers have to be pretty self-suficient.
